Just a quick mention that there's a special 1 hour show looking at the career of Neville Southall on Sky Sports 1 tomorrow night, at 10pm after our match vs Barnsley.

The Sky epg description is: 'Former Tottenham & England goalkeeper Paul Robinson interviews his boyhood idol, Everton & Wales number one Neville Southall'.

Might be worth a watch/record.

The greatest Evertonian ever, never stuck in transfer requests, sulked because he always wanted NSNO all the time. And more importantly says it like it is now. Doesn't toe the party line like snodin and Sharp.

Wish he was chairman of us if he had the cash and had the right business plan. The only former player who has constant trophy winning success mentality for EFC for me.

Neville Southall is the reason I support Everton. Being not from Liverpool myself - I used to roll my socks down and idolise this man. I wish football had more of the Southall spirit today. It's more like an episode of Hollyoaks these days - superficial, shallow and nice hair.

The greatest Evertonian ever, never stuck in transfer requests....

Well, there was that time in 1990 when he handed one in because he was so frustrated, but he's proof that you can move past it. He stayed another 8 years. He never truly wanted to leave. If he hadn't been treated so abysmally by Royle and then Kendall (III), he'd probably still be at the club as a coach by now.
