Had a conversation about this in work and it caused a bit of a debate.
If I’m out with my wife I’ll usually pay (same as when on a date), unless she’s taking me out for my birthday then she will.
When out with other couples we usually split it evenly, although last year when she was pregnant we went out with another couple from her side. They were on one ordering every cocktail off the menu, racking up a bill of over £150 while ours was only £80 as she wasn’t drinking and I only had a couple of pints. On that occasion we got them to pay for what they had.
How do you split the bill when you’re out for a meal?
Straight down the middle? Pay for what you eat?
I didn’t feel the need for a poll as I’ll be surprised if it gets more than a few replies, will add one if required.
