I love all the amateur psychologists accusing him if having "an ego"...as if a shrinking violet would put himself through what he does. Just because tv got wind of his fundraising doesnt make him self centred either...anyone with half a brain knows that publicity is the oxygen for fundraising. He's just a loveable nutcase who obviously enjoys what he does,the publicity is a bi product which fuels the fundraising and Mick has the personality and drive to make it all work,just look at the results plus he has put a smile on our faces at a time when the on field entertainment has been dross.

Whilst I understand this is a forum to voice differing opinions, I would just like to say (not that any of you care) that those who find speedo mick as some sort of cringy attention seeker or whatever, need to realise that right now we live in a world were people religiously follow talentless ego maniacs like TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Kanye West - after he stopped making decent albums, I would even go as far as the likes of Katie Price who recently done a lottery video taking the mickey out of herself for being disliked in some quarters.

Having a local ordinary guy raising money and awareness for local charities is where our attention should lie, he needs to milk the exposure for everything its worth at the moment because todays headlines is tomorrows chip shop wrapper.

As a minor issue I hate charity workers that block your path or interrupt phone calls to ask you to sign up for their respected charities, I have seen speedo a few times and never seen him harassing people or walking around with his hands out asking for donations. He would like your support but never demands it.
