Speeding..

If I ever won Lotto my first purchase is going to be an Aston Martin DB9, always has been. There's better cars out there for sure, but it's like my one and only dream purchase. I'd take all the speeding tickets in the world!
Great dream-situation there! And it's a good car too!

Been caught twice. 45 in a 30 and 75 in a 50. 3 points for the first and a speed awareness for the second. Usually it's only offences in 30mph zones which allow the speed awareness course but I wrote them a nice letter so they let me off.

160ish up the M40 on the back of my mate's bike. I'm not afraid to admit I was pooing myself.

Got three points when I was 19 for doing 95 down the A34.

I'm going to a funeral saturday of an 18 year old who killed himself last Saturday night when the 4x4 he was allegedly speeding in overturned and threw him half way out the drivers side front window before crashing down on his back and snapping his spine whilst pushing all his internal organs up into the top of his chest, RIP Dafydd............

Carry on speeding folks.

With something like that I can only hope he was killed instantly. RIP Dafydd. I get your point. Ridiculous speed is so dangerous but when there's a massive open road with a 30 mph speed limit it's just silly.

180 in a Ferrari 348. I think it was just about topped out.

Fastest I have driven.....160mph in the Grand Canyon National Park on my drive across country. Came around a corner, onto a straight about 6 miles long, slighty downhill, could see the whole thing. Not another sole at least 5 miles from me except my dad, sat in the passenger seat. Buried it and kept my foot down and took the Subaru to the redline in 5th (I think it was limited to 163 based on gearing).

Good fun.

Saying that, I pick when I drive fast, always have. I will never do it in traffic, and I will never race someone on the streets. There is a difference between reckless driving and driving fast. You drive to the capability of the car, the driver and the conditions.

Had. It was a 2002 WRX. One of the first in the USA. About 300bhp (done correctly, not the racer-boy way), Ohlins fully adjustable suspension, Prodrive/Alcon 4-piston calipers over spiral slotted 330mm rotors. Set up to go around corners quickly, it just happened to go well in a straight line as well. If my memory serves, the run across country was back in March 2003. Good times indeed.

Awesome, I've a stock 2009 sedan with 264bhp out of the box, absolutely awesome on any road. Can't do any mods because it's a lease vehicle.

154mph in the Skyline, speedo had been calibrated too...... and it was still picking up speed, was 4.30 ish in the morn on an empty motorway but still not big or clever.

I'd make 20mph on housing estates the law and hit the idiots who speed round them with lots of points and fines.

I've done two speed awareness courses - man they were dull.
Last time was for doing 34 on a 30 - on a road with no houses - nothing...

One year and a bit into driving...nothing yet...just a matter of time though.

I was doing well over 100 in my peice of sh*t on the motorway on Saturday. Risky on two fronts, it might blow up at any moment and the police.
