Southport boss Gary Brabin quits to join Everton coaching staff

Just announced on Radio Merseyside news.

Brabin is a massive Evertonian and Southport said they couldn't stand in his way.

No word yet on his role on the staff.

It's hardly gonna make a difference other than that would say to me RM is pretty safe in his job if he's still hiring staff!

Hmmm, I knew of him when he was Cambridge United manager. He'd worked for Everton before joining Cambridge with the youth teams.

He did quite well with them (league runners up and lost play off) in the first season but it was a turbulent time at the club and some major bust-ups. So he'll fit in well now with our shambles of a club.
