It has been reported that the club will have to sell in January to avoid Administration and remember they built a new stadium!! I point this out because according to some reports our debt has increased!:huh:

Oh dear poor old Southampton. I like their stadium. I dont think we will suffer the same problem because we wont be relegated.

can you eloborate for us americans? I am assuming administration is like 'recievership' over here when the courts appoint someone to help get a company out of debt.

I posted some financial reports a while back and our debt-to-equity is not very good I have to admitt.

Yeh thats pretty much the same- although its an offence for teams to do this. Leeds got a 10 point penalty when they went into administration.

Saints have had some problems for a while though. The chairman generally wasn't like (Rupert Lowe) and they've been trying to get a buyer for a long time.

All of them really. I think they gambled that they'd get back up with largely the same squad that sent them down. I doubt Clive Woodward came cheaply either. Few teams in the Championship make money and once Rupert Lowe withdrew funding.
