Hi, a good friend of mine is in contention of being shortlisted of winning a garden makeover. She's doing it for her son who has a muscle degenerative condition.

Her story is below as is the the link. Cheers.

My garden needs a makeover because my 4 year old son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
It means he is prone to falling over and therefore he doesn't get to play out as often as he should. I would love our garden to be a safe environment for him to enjoy, as any 4 year old should.
I also have a 7 year old who also has to stay in sometimes or have play cut short because Mason has fallen over.
Duchenne is progressive degenerative condition.
His muscles get weaker every day, first to go are the legs then arms. The prognosis is he will be in a wheelchair between 8 and 12 years old and life expectancy is mid to late 20's if we're lucky.

Please help make my son's childhood as safe and fun as possible.
Please Vote for Mason
Thank you.

My youngest lad is disabled and has no awareness what so ever of danger, so I fully understand what you`re trying to achieve.

If we hadn`t "danger proofed " the garden, he`d have done himself some serious damage by now ;)

Thanks, yeah they have no fear for anything at a young age. Once again, thanks for your vote. It's aimpossible trying to win it on votes alone now, but making the shortlist is still achievable.

All the best to you and your lad!
