I took my son his first game Sunday. He wanted to go on the pitch at half time. He watched about a combined 10 mins the rest he ate sweets and played with cars. His highlight was the sprinklers and He loved the pub after it. He is 2 1/2 and i wont take him again until fa cup if were at home.

We took the girl to one of those open training sessions, and she was sound. Then we tried the under-21's free game, where she lasted the full 90.

If we get drawn at home against a lower league opposition in the league Cup 2nd round, I'm hoping to make this her first proper game.

I'd say he is too young mate. I took my lad when he had just turned 4. He loved it until the match kicked off, and then I was bribing him with sweets. He liked the sprinklers again at half time, but the second half was a nightmare to be fair. We won though. Took him back when he'd just turned 5 and he was much better and actually commented on the game a few times as we beat Utd 3-0.

Took my daughter when she was still 3. She lasted til about 20 mins in to the game and then got bored. She spent the rest of the game shouting for Besic to come on.

I took my 2 year old on Sunday we sat in the Park End on an aisle seat. We stayed outside till the last minute and went for a walk down the front at half time. He seemed to enjoy the atmosphere but wasn't that interested in the game. He lasted until around 75th minute then started to get restless so gave him my phone to play with. It was a great experience to go the match with my son but don't know if I'd want to do it regularly until he's older as you can't really watch the game yourself. I took him to his first game last season but got my Mrs a ticket too then when he started kicking off she took him home.
