I was at a do last night to raise money for Zoe's Place. It's been running for a few years now and every year the organisers write to both us and the other shower and ask them for anything they can spare to raffle etc.

Every year Everton send something. Every year that lot say no.

It's no secret that I'm not a fan of the board but credit where it's due sometimes they're spot on. Long may that side of the club continue.

I work with a few lads from down south who have moved up here. They always comment on how impressed they are with the amount we do in the community. We do have a lot of problems, but when it comes to a charitable presence in the community, we really do do that sort of stuff right.

My wife works in the Third Sector (charity work) and she says Everton are famed for their excellence in this respect. This is in London, we're talking about here.
