No, not for Everton, we're all f*cked.

Basically had a pretty tough last year. Went to university for a year and didnt do to well at all, in fact I failed and have had to drop out. Whilst not an exuse, during the year I lost my Grandma and Grandad after having lost my Nan (of Aigburth Vale, previosuly Norwich Road off Church Road) the previous year, which certainly didnt help. Anyway, so I've come home and have had precious little to do. I work Friday and Saturday nights at a club which as you can imagine leaves me with a lot of time to do absolutly [Poor language removed] all. Now this might seem glorious to some of you, but believe me it's not. Absolute boredom is a killer, and can really [Poor language removed] you over for motivation. It hasnt been so bad, because a lot of my mates have been at home for the summer, but now I have to watch them all go away again which kinda sucks. And all my uni mates in Manchester all getting houses together which I really wanted to be a part of.

A couple of weeks ago I felt I needed to get out of here, like do something completly different. Get out of the country and sort myself out. Since I broke up with my girlfriend over a year ago, I dont think Ive ever been quite right. So I started applying for ski jobs. After quite a bit of dissapointment, the other day I got an email saying that a company in Norway were offering me a placement after initially turning me down. Its just promotions and bar work like, but it sounds amazing. Im absolutly made up. I go at the end of November. It still leaves me short in the short term, but definatly a glimmer of hope and optimism for the future.

Just thought I'd share it with you cats.

Great news mate and good luck!!! I live not far from Luton, so know what it can be like daarrn 'ere, I love nothing more than getting out and seeing the world, and watching the blues orf course.....

careful tho, Norway is full of RS....haha

Well in mate, boss hearing good news like this. It's not all doom and gloom at the minute, enjoy yourself kidda.

Cheers lids. Yeah I did think about the expensive-ness of Norway, and I'm only really getting a basic wage (accom, flight etc all included though) but then I thought [Poor language removed] it, I'll worry about that when I'm there. Where I'm at I'll be able to get stuff a bit cheaper anyway, the perks of being staff. Heard the girls are meant to be boss, is this true? I hope they dig my larrnden-ness.

But anyway, in the highly unlikely event any of you want to go skiing in Norway near Lillehammer, I think I can get you discount ;)

Nice one Nik....It's good to hear that you got off your arse and did something..who knows, you may meet other contacts in Norway, and new opportunities may open up...Enjoy

PS...Don't forget yer Thermals!

in Bergen after the Brann game I was roaming the streets in the late hours looking for a 7/11 (you'll see).

and saw the most skaggy dressed shifty looking blueboy talking to 2 of the most stunning blond birds i have ever seen. He had them smiling and giggling, and as i walked past i heard one of the birds saying, "we like to practice our english, i like you...", "what is this 'nosebag' you are looking for???"...

i couldn't effin believe it. Hope he had a double bed.

your well in Nik mate....

Super news Nik lid and make sure you do it mate. Travel will be one of the best things you're likely to do although it might be a bit weird adapting at first. Between now and before you go, you may have doubts too, don't even contemplate not going as those doubts are full of [Poor language removed].

On the girl front, I was lucky enough to be mauled by a girl from Oslo once, amazing taegs. Absolutely nuts like, as most of them are, but anything goes.

Fill yourself up man and post photos on here.
