And yet he’s treated as a joke. Fernandez was an inspired signing too
From what I’ve read and heard he has all the says on these transfers. He’s done a good job with them compared to other managers previous to him. AWB was a great signing considering who they had before him. There always going to over pay because everyone knows united have money but he’s signing players for the positions he needs to. A proper plan in place. He’s done great.

They had a plan to get him. No panic buying. For some reason we only buy in January when we panic, that leads to crap signings. If only brands spent more time planning than trying to get into the pants of players mothers.

It's not the same is it. Utd have massive pull still and are in Europe, chalk and cheese.

We are at the stage where we have probably got the best players we can do for the level we are at, paying over the odds per week to get them to leave the bigger clubs they were with. Unless the lure of Ancelotti can bag us world class players we will have to get Europe or win something to get to that new level.

Or we could scrap the lot and instead of trying to get names, buy hungry players that fit into the system hoping that they will become stars but no guarantees that works either.

Please excuse my wrong spelling of Fernandes it was autocorrect and I hate spelling stuff wrong! Yeah he’s done very well, a lot of people were looking at AWB and Fernandes but they showed the balls to go out and get them and it’s seemingly paid off. Once they get rid of the likes of Pogba, Lingard, Fred and Pereira I think he’ll start doing really well.

I still feel we’re getting it wrong. I’ll excuse Delph because I honesty think everyone associated with the transfer will be shocked with how he’s turned out but panic buying the likes of Iwobi just isn’t the right way to go. Bigger club rejects with the very odd exception like Gomes just don’t seem to be hungry. We should be taking more risks signing younger players and trying to find the next X and the next Y imo
