The amount of blues on a match day or even through the week bringing negativity amongest us all on social media is growing.
I go onto Facebook and Twitter and the amount of abuse people give each other is frankly embarrassing.
I'm glad social media wasn't around in the Walter Smith times.
I understand the unrest from most fans, especially those younger fans like myself who have never seen the club win a trophy.

Do you see a real issue with blues on social media?

Social media is a problem, not just blues on it. All clubs will be the same.

It's not just Blues and not just football, social media and the anonymity it offers really brings out the worst in people, I have stopped using everything apart from GOT because it's all Everton but even some come on here and think it's fine to call people whatever they want. It has turned society toxic. As much as it can be used for good, it has inspired a generation of cowards, who think trolling is a fun pass time.

I do reckon it's the same with all clubs but before social media you used to to think all our fans were sound, now you just want to punch loads of them.

And should be promptly moderated. That said, there's only so much a handful of volunteers can spot so please use that report function beneath each post.

Welcome to GOT.

Moaning about moaning. I like the cut of your jib.

I think on a match day you see apathy.
I think on social media - it depends on who you follow. There's growing frustration but all considered, it's understandable...

GOT is well moderated. I just don't see why people feel the need to hurl abuse at each other from behind a keyboard.

I actually signed up for twitter, didn't last long I was quite shocked at the way people speak to each other. If you are famous, it's utterly mental some of the comments that get posted.

I'll stick to GOT and I try my best not to get involved in shenanigans if it can be helped.

Thank god for social media, I say.

A relatively harmless avenue to let off some steam, and let's face it being an Everton fan, loads to feel frustrated about.

I try to avoid vitriol, re fellow fan's, but the club itself is fair game.

Yes, massively. Removing myself from Twitter has been the best decision I’ve made in recent years. All it does is make you depressed scrolling through the same boring doomsday tripe all day every day.

I do definitely twitter can be toxic ,not on it myself but seen what it can do,things like arsenal fan tv where if the team was winning every week they wouldn’t exist but they thrive on bad performances and managers are under even more intense scrutiny because a you tube blogger has called for him to go

It’s mad.

When I was younger (not that I’m older I’m 28) I would never kick off with anyone who was a blue. I used to make friends with them etc.

In the world of social media everyone just goes for everyone. Blues hurling abuse at blues and the players. And we wonder why sometimes players leave the clubs in acrimonious circumstances. The ‘fans’ are just as much to blame as Everyone else
