Soccer's starting to suck ?

To be fair, Pienaar goes down a little to easy, but he gets plenty of free kicks for us in good positions

i wouldnt change that in Pienaar's game.

Players have always gone down to "win" free-kicks tbf. But , in the past , the "fouled" player would just get up . Today we have them waving imaginary cards or doing what a certain buck-toothed rs player did to Rodwell last season

Totally agree mate. While I love the blues, I go to watch Leicester Tigers RFC........

I find RL more enjoyable, but I know where you're coming from, more of the old ethos of hit/get hit hard, get up,go again.
Hard men playing a mens game, not a bunch of limp spoiled brats.

It's the summer so football really isn't on the radar. Cycling, rugby league, cricket are all more enjoyable, especially in the summer. Football is increasingly meugh.

Cycling: Well done Brad Wiggins, tremendous achievement, never thought I'd see an Englishman win le tour.Hope he ain't doping.

Tennis in the summer. Can't stand this cricket stuff when the Aussies are crap atm.

Didn't posters used to have a go at Everton players for not engaging in this sort of behavior, for lacking a "winning mentality"? If our players crowded the ref, tried to get opponents on yellows sent off, etc, I wouldn't be proud, but if it got us points... Football is a results-oriented sport, I think it's important to remember that when understanding why players act like this.

i find it increasing difficult to defend the game when people tell me footy is crap, then follow up by saying they are all diving cheats. as much as i want to argue the point the best i can come up with is "they arent ALL divers and cheats" getting beyond a joke.

what sport isnt a results-oriented sport they all are or there just games.

one of the funniest things ive seen was when bradford city played darlington (may not be darlington, come to think of it),anyway, there was a huge barney at the end of the match and about 6 or 7 players going toe to toe, fists up,knocking lumps off each other and not one of them hit the deck!!!...........go back and watch the match and the slightest tackle and the player was rolling around like he was shot!!!.....proof,if ever needed some are cheating B'astards!!!

OK here's one for you: Often after a player scores,he'll run to the crowd, ripping his shirt off to display his manly physique. 2 minutes later he'll fly through the air letting out a squeal like a small girl after someone puts a hand on his back.Too many preening posters in the game today
Another thing: Personally I think taking your shirt off after scoring shows disrespect to the club & team mates, like " look at me,I did that, not the team".
