So, it's a game of opinions. In your opinion, what went wrong or didn't help our cause today?
Mine;
Mine;
- 4-5-1 - To work, you need at least one midfielder to support you striker. None of ours even looked willing to do just that until Cahill came on.
- Balance/Movement. None of it. Even the centre of the team had no shape to it.
- Coleman left wing. The balance was bad enough without opting to put two players needlessly out of position (Drenthe has never played right wing in his career prior Everton).
- Leon Osman. The worst I have ever seen him.
- A centre back Distin replacing a 'midfielder' Neville and pushing Heitinga into CM. What was wrong with Cahill, Bily or Barkley? - Again, Heitinga isn't a CM, why do we persist in round pegs and square holes?
- McFadden being your last throw of the dice - at right wing. When was the last time the lad played a competitive game? There were other options on the bench.
