Forgot about that, at the age of 18 I got 7 days for non payment of fines, I went to court in Huyton on the Wednesday (supposedly that was the day you got sent down) I got the 7 days but only had to do 4 days, because the 4 days fell on the weekend (they didn't do releases on the weekend) I got out on the Friday, so I'm proper hardcore

I was born in Castle Street on St. Paddy's day 1936. Lived in Liverpool 'till I was 15 when I left school and Dad's job moved us to Leeds. Still think of myself as a Scouser and often, when I'm introduced to new people, they ask me if I'm from Liverpool. So there's still a bit of Scouse in the accent!
