...I was skeptical, but I have to say each time I've listened to it it's grown on me. There is some fantastic stuff on there. I just have to get past the fact that it's not just the "next AF record" nor is is it really ROCK. Have to judge it on it's own merits.

So far my favorites are...

Here comes the night time
You already know
Joan of Arc
It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus)
Afterlife.

I'm going to listen to it several more times before I give my final thoughts, but the Caribbean influence is overwhelming at times.

I will have a proper listen on Sunday, but they are one of my favorite bands ever.

Seen them in Liverpool do a concert to 400 just when they released their first album. Superb, seen them four more times since but that first time was unreal.

I keep meaning to listen to these cats due your continual bumming of them.

I'd recommend starting with the obvious songs to get them.

Then the other weirder stuff sounds better. That's how I did it anyway.

Such as Rebellion (Lies) and Keep The Car Running are good starters.

It's alright, they've started to annoy me a bit with all their marketing and their 'secret' 42quid gigs. Obviously nowhere near Funeral or Neon Bible.

Will give it another go when i manage to turn Sky Ferreira off.
