... nailed on his mother has something to do with it / knows who has him (i.e. who else has a key to their flat?).

As if he could just waltz out of the flat by himself. A three year old.

I've known a lad of under three who let himself out of where he was staying and wondered off.

It just seems very implausible... just watched a video on Sky News and the door to the block of flats is this massive heavy metal-framed door which no kid could open on their own.

I hope he turns up.

Wouldn't be surprised if the parents are involved in this, , like has been said something doesn't sit right from the off doubt a 3 yr old has the knowledge to find keys/unlock a door then leave without someone being awakened. Hope the little fellas' s alright nothing worse than something happening to little kids not right.

my3 yr old nephew in New Zealand escaped out of the house and out of the garden over a 6' fence, was found wandering about 2 1/2 miles form home by an off duty rozzer. Doesnt look good for this wee man though.

I think Children under the age of 7 get dismissed way too easily of being incapable of anything. By that age you're old enough to see someone do something (and in this case something extremley straight forward) a hundred times and then do it yourself.

This is far more likely than his own mother wanting any harm done to him.

It just becomes a blame game now until anyone knows the facts which is sad.

Similar to that girl who got murdered in Bristol and the media and plenty of the population had it down as the old professor guy.

Sound like ace Cluedo but its an undesirable trait during what could be a very sad time for the persons affected.

Hopefully the wee lad will show up.

No mate, you're very wrong - my two-and-a-half-year-old knows how to open our front door. I have to keep it locked or she's out on to the street, and could be anywhere. Kids are quicker and smarter than you think.

After that Shannon Matthews case though, I understand why you have a cynical view of this but police do not suspect any wrongdoing. Don't throw unfounded accusations at a worried family:

Until we have the facts

Kids are cleverer than we give them credit for.... Years ago we woke up one morning and my stepson was nowhere to be seen.... He was 6 at the time...... Panic stations set in and we had to go searching for him..... I found him in the school play yard on his own quite happily playing on his scooter.... This was 7.30 in the morning.... Turns out he was annoyed because another kid who lived further away from school than us was always there before him, so he decided to get up early, washed and dressed himself quietly, made a bowl of cereal for breakfast then headed off to school..... Rough estimate he was there since 7.05 am .....he told us he left after power rangers finished ..... Laughable now but scary at the time and shows that kids are more capable than we think.

I see what you're saying mate, but this lad is half the age of all examples in this thread. I just think it's very improbable he's got out of bed and waltzed out of his flat door, down the stairs and out of the heavy metal door on the entrance to the flat, all without anybody knowing or seeing.

My bets are on somebody having a spare key and taking him. Only his ma will know who has keys to the place.
