In my head this sounded like a good thread. I visualised us all chipping in with "I'd play Rooney as sole striker with support from Gylfi Sigurdsson." Or "I don't see us getting through the christmas period with such an inexperienced squad" or "I think we look solid defensively with Williams and Jagielka in their prime."

I mean, Liverpool had Suarez and Sturridge that season and nearly won the league. Do you think with our team there would be another 4-0 drubbing?

With Martinez at the helm, how long would it take before Rooney tells him he's neglecting the defence and must improve his coaching?

There's loads of different scenarios to play around with and its only me interested.

Since it didn’t take very long to set up and I could do things that were actually important while it ran, I set up this team in FIFA 14 as best as possible (Niasse, Vlasic, DCL, Davies, Holgate, Kenny, Tosun, and others are not in the game) and simmed the entire 2013-14 season.

Finished 8th on 66 points. Top 4 had 87-85-79-78.

Won the League Cup. Draw was extremely soft except for knocking out the RS over two legs in the semifinal. Beat Fulham for the silverware.

Out to Huddersfield in the FA Cup.

Rooney had 26 goals in all comps, Schneiderlin added 14. Klaassen had 8 goals and 9 assists. Stekelenberg (still on the current roster) had 10 clean sheets.
