Welcome back Wayne
Mostly I think it's crap...... Having lived through predictions of the next ice age, global warming, or just the weather happens to change, like it's always done......I can't be doing with claims that the few insects (us) on the planet have more effect than the Sun and the Planets Eco system have...........

Weather (unless its long term trends) and climate are separate.

Weather relationship to climate you should think of on decade long time scales.

Not week to week or even month to month.

The weather exists on a normal distribution. The peak is "average weather"

If the climate increases in temperature the energy in the atmosphere increases. Global weather patterns shift eg air or sea currents.

This pushes "average weather" to extremes. Since the normal distribution is flattened. Average is less "average" and more extreme.

More extreme rain. Cold. Hot. Dry. Etc.

So in the uk we get more frequent cold winters and more frequent hotter dryer and/wetter summers

Basically the weather being "average" becomes less average.

So you'll be complaining more about the weather due to climate change.

Humans have already changed the atmosphere composition. CO2 levels haven't been so high for thousands of years.

Climate change is definately happening, no doubt about it. There's tons of proof of rising CO2 (from ice cores, etc.) which have meant a change in climate over time.

Such a short time in the history of earth.

There were far higher levels when the dinosaurs were knocking about and the earth's still ticking, just needed them to knock off. We're next like.

How does FFP affect this? In terms of hot air, I mean... (from UEFA, not you, BTW).
