A club run by a greedy clique who think that its fine to accept a bid from Everton and then go out of their way to draw away from the bid. I feel sorry for their fans, but as far as I am concerned, their board have got exactly what they deserved.

I like them as a team and I certainly prefer them to Wednesday, but it reminds me of Leeds. I like Leeds fans, but I wish their team nothing but misery as long as Ken Bates is in charge.

Personally always have had a soft spot for The Blades. Especially since their last Premiership season. Shame they went down, and hope they'll bounce back immediately next season.

I've had a soft spot for The Blades and Wednesday as they were the only decent football around where I grew up and seen Everton at their grounds loads and loads of times.

Feel a bit for my Dad now though. He's gonna have to drive miles to see Ipswich now. I guess DOncaster isnt too far for him, and if Saints go up he can come here.

I like the Blades. They have great fans and got hosed in the prem, pity they are going down. We'd have done the same if we were in the Blades position. Nothing is set in stone until its signed. If I remember correctly we also swooped in and took AJ at the last minute after it was agreed that he going to Bolton.

They accepted double the fee we offered....

Id be miffed if we didnt do the same.

WHOOOO????

pointless thread

Oi, less of that.

BT - I have to say though, I'd point the finger at Redknapp for the Naughton shenanigans - but he done us a big favour mind - paying the £10m+ he did for Naughton and some lad without a Championship start to his name paved the way for Young Seamus.

No, they Sheffield Utd included a player in the deal we didn't even want, and spuds were prepared to pay for both, even though one of them allegedly preferred to come to us, cue, all sorts blaming our board for incompetence. I think we play it reasonably fair, but as Moyes said, Everton players do sell expensively.

WHOOOO????

The clue is in the thread title "I'm so glad that Sheffield Utd are relegated"

True, saved us a few bob. But can you imagine Naughton and Seamus on the right hand side, with both receiving training from Hibbert on how to perfect those crunching tackles? with Bainesy on the left we would be terrific. Anyway, I'm not blaming the fans, so if I've offended any Sheff Utd sympathizers, sorry. I'm blaming the board who've put profit before principle and shown themselves to be untrustworthy when it comes to transfer dealings.

I think that there problem was is that they sold good players and replaced them with not so good players.

But yes, without Sheff Utd we would not now have Seamus.

Meh I think it kinda sucks. Big clubs like Sheffield United going down and we are now going to have QPR in the Premier League, possibly joined by Cardiff or Swansea. If Blackpool stay up... Blackpool v Cardiff in the premier league. Wigan v QPR... The campionship has so many big clubs that should be back in the prem. Hope Norwich and Nottingham Forest come up

No doubt someone at UEFA thought that way about Everton and the CL and assigned Collina to put us in our place and make sure the embarrassmernt of an extra English club was avoided.
