I know we discussed this before, but it still bothers me how when we were in limbo with no manager, Gibson signed, and three long-serving really popular players just went with a lame twitter announcement, or no announcement at all. Bad leadership again?
they aren't dead, and they aren't dixie dean. They were never legends, one was a very good player the other two were overused players who continually got pay days despite their lack of actual ability.
they were let go rightly so and that's all that needs to be done, they don't need a parade.
They couldn't make a big deal of it like they did with Howard against Norwich in case the new manager wanted to keep them. Not sure what the club were meant to do differently.
Always found it strange that only howard got a send of in the last home game. Maybe the trio was part of the munity against Martinez and the club knew this.
