Snow

Reports today that parts of New York state may see up to 6 feet of snow. Wow !

If this is the start of things to come, i guess this winter could be bad one.

Hate snow, it's the worst form of precipitation. It's just cold, wet and slippy.

Made me laugh last year when my mum mentioned that they were set for 3 inches of snow and that she doesn't know what she will do. All in a panic, flustered.

3 inches !! You get that in an hour here.

I remember the first year i was here and the during the first real snow storm i encountered whilst here, over 12 inches fell. I was mesmerized and couldn't believe it. I was out in a flash, diving in it and throwing it around like i'd won the lotto and it was money. My ex wife looking on in embarrassment...... It was quite ace. Of course now its just the norm and so i've calmed down a bit now.

Basically, a thunderstorm but with snow rather than rain. Usually doesn't last long but really memorable. We had one of those here in Washington, DC a couple years ago.

Down here, we'd do that for 3/4 inches of snow, not to mention slow-melting sleet

Seems loud, right? Different sound with the soft snowfall than with loud rain?
