Bill has been nice and quiet hasn't he recenty, coinciding with our appalling start to the domestic season.

Thought we'd see him around Christmas when results pick up a bit, surprised he's chirped up so soon.

Why on earth would you need to go on Sky Sport to announce 'ambassador' roles?

FFS, what a nothing piece of self-publicity.

Classy, great move by the club.

This is the sort of thing a club like Bayern Munich would do - getting the club greats back at the club in key roles to spread the word about how great this club is.

There are enough gobshites in the media and outside the club who can't wait to tear us apart without fans sniping on ourselves.

Not sure why the thread is being hijacked by anti-Kenwright sentiment.

Will they be doing anything useful?

What would you like them to do? Empty the bins? Clean the concourses at the Park End?

Football is a worldwide business. When the club needs someone to go to Indonesia, they'll send one of these three. You need people with credibility to spread the word of the club. Man Utd have Bryan Robson and Dennis Irwin. Liverpool have Rush and Fowler. And now we have people in place.

They were already doing the job on an unofficial basis anyway.

me and my son went to hull last game of the season with ian snods what a great time we had with him love him loves us so much great night thanks ian could not singing thanks

True story,me and my mates at the taxi rank on Lord Street Southport, one freezing winters night about 3am in1987,my mate(a kopite for his sins)says to me,"isn't that the fella you lot has just signed?"anyhow Snods is next to us in the queue on his tod,he's had a few shandies like us and he's asking which are the best bars/clubs etc,I'm telling him he's joined the best club in the world and all that, anyhow, taxi pulls up and we're getting in to go to Ainsdale, and I shout,"get in Snods,we'll drop you off" which we did in Birkdale,Snods got out at his house and gave the taxi driver a tenner(more than enough for the journey back then)and told him to take us good blues home, but drop the kopite off the pier, cracking lad and still a great bloke!!:D
