i know this might not be for this part of the forum but I'm just wondering what everyones views are on the controversial rise in smoke bomb use at the match ... personally i love them and would love to see them legalised if used correctly

anyone else?

I will bump this thread after somebody dies or gets seriously hurt.

They are explosive devices and have no place in football stadiums.

You are having a laugh right ? A smoke bomb by definition is not an explosive device. Do you mean a flare ? If you are they are two completely different things

They're boss, creates a bit of atmosphere and are perfectly safe.

Physicians, military and civilian alike, may be called upon to recognize, treat, and provide long-term care to patients who have suffered a zinc chloride (smoke bomb) inhalational injury. Pathologic changes described in the literature include laryngeal, tracheal, and bronchial mucosal edema and ulceration; interstitial edema; interstitial fibrosis; alveolar obliteration; and bronchiolitis obliterans. Acute injury is associated with a high mortality. Following is a report of a patient with a zinc chloride smoke injury which resulted in subpleural emphysematous blebs complicated by pneumothorax and abnormal exercise physiology. Gradual recovery occurred over several months. However, the chest roentgenogram remains abnormal with emphysematous blebs.

A woman was killed by two smoke bombs flying at 150mph being used for special effects in a new TV show about military vehicles. The foot-long bombs hit Terri Flanell, 51, as the flew through the air like rockets at 150mph at a Colorado rifle range Thursday.

They're not boss when you're stood next to the stupid c**t letting them off, as my mate was at Anfield on Sunday. He got hit on the back of the leg by one as it rolled down the stand and it burnt the back of his leg.

But yeah, they're ace. Having loads of smoke cover your view of the match you paid fifty quid for is brill.

The ones on Sunday were purple and the chants of " what the fu*king hell is that ! " from the reds were clearly heard on telly !!

So your arguing against smoke bombs? I mean, you do get the occasional idiots going mad with them.

But if you're paying to go and enjoy the view then that's a bit boring to me, going to an away you want to create atmosphere and make yourself known.

So it rolled down the stand (whatever that means) and made its way up off the floor and burnt his leg.........ever thought of a career in story telling ? Preferably to under fives
