Plenty of life left in that mate. Just tie a bit of fibre optic cable between them and you might get broadband too!

Just digressing. In my second Christmas (1956) in Singapore, I looked into phoning home. My Dad had a phone at home for his work and I thought it would be a nice surprise. I didn't do it, because:

1. The cost
2. I had to book the call 2 weeks in advance
3. They couldn't guarantee the exact time of the call until an hour before it was available (they said it might be in the middle of the night either in Singapore or the UK).

How times change!
