I was talking to a guy recently who has gotten rid of his phone, as he felt like a slave to it ( i laughed too ) he was telling me how he relied on it for browsing and banking and pictures of his kids, but felt like sometimes he couldn't put it down! I was like yeah defo, i think a lot of us may suffer with this i saw someone else say it on here last night or the night before.

I struggle to accept its an addiction, but its the ease of use it gives us, but i've recently started leaving my phone away and concentrating on writing stuff down or reading a book and my focus is slowly getting sharper

Proper lame, but I sort of don't like not knowing what's going on. Bit of an information junkie, if you like. Sort of like being on the edge of an interesting-sounding conversation in the pub, you don't want to be left out. I go on a couple of fora and an always checking to see what's new. Same with Twitter.

Would've included Facebook as well, but I've jibbed it off recently cos it's full of people with very little interesting to say.

I jibbed off Facebook, Twitter etc last year. Jibbed off 3 other forums I used daily too. Don't miss any of them..

Couldn't jib this one though. It would be like cutting a limb off.

I would happily go back to a brick phone too, maybe a flip phone for retro sake! Do they even sell them any more?

My phone broke recently and I went to using a £10 Samsung piece of junk for a while. It was quite nice not being able to do anything but talk and text but it became quite inconvenient carrying a laptop around half the time.

we do become dependent on it like, at the moment I have my laptop hooked up to my mobile thats on charge in the car, if i move as much as an inch further away though I lose my connection.

I'm at the end on my tether.
