Remember that movie Sliding Doors? Gwyneth Paltrow's life splits into two parrellel universes based on whether she manages to catch a certain train on the London Underground. It's a bit of a study into how one incident can change the entire mood/direction of someone or something.

When Zamora missed that open goal today, that was Everton's very own Sliding Doors moment. Potentially massive.

Zamora scores: Everton have lost 4 on the spin, sit horribly close to the bottom three and Moyes and Kenwright come in for even more intense stick as we get ready to face Chelsea and a badly wounded Man U.

Zamora misses: Saha goes up the other end and slots, Everton are mid table and the mood suddenly feels a little lighter.

Football really is a game of fractions (and sliding doors)...

Would of been a luckier game for us if that moment hadn't of balanced out one of the two blatant penalties we should of had before Zamorra showed us all his quality. Game should of been finished long before he had that chance but we won so it seems to be generally fogotten about.

Not really. There's a LONG way yet to go in the season, one moment that could've caused us to lose one game wouldn't have made a difference on how well we did over the 38 games.

Unless we are three points away from finishing in Europe or above the RS ect...
Three points in this league are massive !And that was a massive three points.

If you believe the theory of the multiverse, there's an alternate dimension where we've won the treble every year for the past 40 years.
Get in.

Got lucky last season, if not for Messi's goals then we'd never have gotten through the CL group stage.

Its true Messi was a good backup whilst Hibbo was injured but its good to have him back isn't it?.. can't believe 6 months out injured and still the leagues top scorer.
