Player Valuation: £8m
Matheiu Flamini landed himself in a bit of bother with Arsene Wenger last night after breaking the age-old tradition of wearing a different type of shirt than the matchday captain...

"The French midfielder has developed a habit of taking a pair of scissors to his shirt to turn it into a short-sleeved top. Flamini had been involved in a row with the kitman, Vic Akers, before and after his last game, when he did the same against Manchester United, and this time Wenger made it clear he considers it a breach of club rules. "I do not like that and he will not do that again," he said. "I was surprised he did that; we don't want that."

Arsenal's rule is that the players must all wear the same shirt and that it is selected before every game by the captain."

What do we think? A unique bit of tradition or all much of a f*cking muchness?

It's a wee bit Draconian telling players they can't wear short sleeves if they want. Saying that, why didn't he just roll the sleeves up?

You'd think a Frenchman would support someone making a fashion statement. Then again, he's French, so it seems par for the course.

Should be able to wear what they want, what's good for one player ain't necessarily good for another. I always preferred long sleeves, gives ya somethin to wipe yer nose on.

talking off sleeves, getting one tatted on this saturday, my first tat as well eek, get to see the design tomorrow after work.
