The rain, it raineth every day
We all know that you're supposed to have about eight hours of uninterrupted sleep so you don't feel crap the following day. Is this true for you ? Do you wish you could sleep a longer/shorter time ?

I often wish I could sleep longer than my usual 6 hours or so, and when I do I feel markedly more sprightly. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any rhyme nor reason why this happens. What are your remedies for the eternal problem of, first trying to get to sleep, and secondly, getting a decent night's kip ?

I just read this post

Always try and get 8 hours if I can, I’m a right miserable so and so otherwise, I usually take ages to get off to sleep though. I’m always envious of those who instantly seem to fall asleep as soon as they close their eyes, tbf that’s probably something for the minor fume thread!.

I put on a podcast, generally history related and im out in about 30 seconds. Weirdly has to be something I’m interested in though otherwise it doesn’t work.

People who nap on trains, can't understand how they can do it.

7-8. In bed at 10.30 ish but sometimes takes a bit to drop off, alarm at 7. Still feel groggy at that, no alarm and I will wake up and hour or 2 later so probably need 9 ideally.

Slept like a baby on holiday ... 11pm - 7am at least, just likecwhen i was at work.

Back home - countryside, quiet close ... quickly back in the habit of waking at 5.30 ffs. I put thus down to a woman who drives a rattly old land rover into the close every morning, to walk her dogs in the field behind. She makes zero effort to close doirs quietly either, selfish bint.

Last night was worse... didn't sleep til about 2 then was woken up by the neighbours cats caterwauling and fighting. We should have a £2 billion yearly cat tax ffs.
