Skint

In my final year of uni my overdraft was pretty much constantly maxed out. Had to rely on cash back from the one place I could find in town that would accept my card. I think it was safeway or spar. They'd let me get 200quid cash back even if I was over my overdraft limit.

Oh yeah definitely, A fair few times when younger I'd load up the shopping, try and pay on the card, I'd broken the overdraft limit, so I'd lie and say I was off outside to get cash out / off someone and just leave the food on the till.

Then one block I lived in, couldn't pay the bills, so they used to switch the electricity off on the board to the flat (this was abroad) so we'd break into the room afterhours and put it back on lol

Life innit. Sure it's happened to most.

Can remember buying 10 lambert and butler with 1 and 2 pences. Also got into a fight with my mate over a slice of eggy bread as we had no other food. Gr8 tyms
10 Lamberts ?
Luxury.
A pack of green skins and the dog ends from the bus stop here.

And playing cashpoint lottery.
Start trying to get £50 out.. then 40, then 30.. end up going to the one cashpoint in town that still gave out fivers.

Its relative really. Like we have a house, and a car, and have never been hungry cos we were skint. But a few years back, we hit a road block, and needed to walk to 2 miles to the shops to preserve petrol, and spent pennies on food; rice liver and onions basically.

Pretty sure iirc, that GOT had a gold silver and bronze level of sponsorship for the UGL, and asked if it was bad form to down grade/cancel cos we were skint.

Like I said, its relative.

Place I was working went bust, left with no money but lucky to get another job right away, only problem was no cash to get there and a 6am start, used to walk from Norris Green to just past the womens hospital work 12 hours surviving drinking water, bunk the bus home and eat the one meal a day, last couple of days before pay day all that was left to eat was cornflakes and a 2 litre tub of ice cream,so id melt some of that and put it on the cornflakes
