Ok, do any of you lids or lidettes ski/board? If so provide some deets, recommendations for good mountains, etc. Any of you Eddie the Eagle?

I had my Everton baseball cap on at Mont Ste Anne (in Quebec) last year and some Evertonians took my pic to send home. I was sick as dog at the time, so I was off skiing for the day, but it was good to bump into some fellow fans.

Oh LA di da.

Isn't skiing for posh people! Who "do" the slopes?

Await mate, 3 valleys Nielsen platinum chalet is amazing!

Also the slopes are well looked after and plenty fun.

Else, head over to Italy the village under the toblerone mountain. Awesome slopes that side, mplus can lift up and ski down in to Switzerland.

It's known as Mrs The Esks Mountain around these parts.

If anyone wants any cheap(ish) ski gear let me know. Granted it does look a bit like cycling gear, especially the helmets, but the lycra suits with the @rse padding do a great job if you fall over.....

Mrs the esk is delighted with your recognition Reidy!

EFC NY - these days we ski predominantly in the Dolomites, Italian skiing is not necessarily the most challenging but offers great snow, fantastic food and accomodation, plus the Italians do very little off-piste so the really good places to ski do not quickly get ski-ed out.

I also love Lech in Austria, some very good off-piste and challenging stuff plus the normal excellent family skiing on-piste.

Good to know. I have never skied in Europe but plan to at one point. Knowing I will not get there that often (maybe only once) I want to be selective in where I go. I love collecting people's thoughts about certain areas.

BTW, chico has won this thread. Two hits - chico to Del, Del to the floor.
