Six points behind the RS

City's last 6 home games:

Liverpool 0-0
Stoke 1-1
Bolton 2-0
Portsmouth 2-0
United 2-1 (Carling Cup)
Blackburn 4-1

It would look like a low-scoring draw on paper.

Wolves' last 6 home games:

United 0-1
Chelsea 0-2
Spurs 1-0
Liverpool 0-0
Palace 2-2 (FA Cup)
Wigan 0-2
City 0-3

I'm expecting a tight game. Fingers crossed we can keep a clean sheet and nick one at the other end.

West Ham last 6 away games:

Arsenal 2-0
Chelsea 4-1
United 3-0
Burnley 2-1
Portsmouth 1-1
Villa 0-0

Should be the easiest of the three games. Upson has looked shaky. Hopefully Green won't have an inspired game.

I think we will have our work cut out to match the forecasts on here. It strikes it is not so much us winning our games but those above losing.

Of course, I'm naturally searching hard for positives but could our current position work for us?

We aren't expected to get above any of the teams above us. The gap at the moment is significant but not impossible to overturn. I don't think any of the other teams are really paying attention to us - I wonder, could that be their undoing?

Let's hope so. But as has been said a million times already, we need to continue our form and hope others don't. We can directly do that via taking points off Villa and City. COYB.

I think we need to focus on smaller, achievable objectives one at a time. If we can beat City, which will be no mean feat, given that they've lost only 4 times all season, it could potentially put us within a win of Liverpool and Villa.

We then need to keep it tight away at Wolves and do a professional job. Jarvis seems to be their biggest threat down the left hand side, so Neville will have to be on his toes.

West Ham at home would appear to be an easy game, but we know how we struggle to break down teams who park the bus infront of their goal.

We need to put some daylight between ourselves and both Birmingham and Fulham. Hopefully then we can pick off one of the teams above us and get into the top 7.

Villa have a small squad and one eye on the FA Cup. With Agbonlahor out injured, they could be vulnerable.

If Anichebe is going to be out for us, then I expect that Ossie will come into the team on the right hand side. He's been on great form of late. Fingers crossed he can keep it up.

I think the lesson's being learnt and the introduction of Osman was an example, when they do that two banks of 4 - you've got to get in amongst them keep it on the deck and pass your way through with small agile players like Osman who dont stop moving.

This way you either break through or draw the foul for Arteta/Baines/Pienaar to have a crack with.

I think we can surprise them if they do go anti-football.

Its about being intelligent on the pitch when this happens. getting it up the pitch retaining possession then on the deck around their box and when space is had, saha, yak, pienaar, arteta, billy, osman need to have their shooting boots on
