@GrandOldTeam No idea if it is connected but keep getting first handshake issues today when moving page or refreshing.

Overview:

Could not connect to www.grandoldteam.com .

Details:

Peer disconnected after first handshake message: Possibly SSL/TLS Protocol level is too low or unsupported on the server

We're aware that the website on occasion, GOT is a little slow at the moment;

Thanks for the emails/messages.

Our host is investigating. Unfortunately, our monitoring doesn't pickup inaccessibility as 'down time' so if you find you can't access or load a page on GOT, could you please reply here with a time and brief overview of issue?

Bonus points if you can capture any errors etc with screenshots/copy an paste into this thread, we'd appreciate it.

liking posts either doesn't happen or takes ages to register (like 10-20 seconds), no error messages.

EDIT: posting was quick just now tho'.
EDIT2: liking your OP was also quick, so problem is an intermittent thing

server reboot?

It is up and down like the preverbial "lady of the night's drawers" - can access the forum for a couple of minutes, then a few minutes of "timed out" (and so on). It seems it is not just the forum but the homepage too. I would say it was either Soton fans or Kopites attacking the server but we all know they haven't got the mental capacity to do such a thing.

Every time I click a new page or thread I get this message and have to reload.

Every single time.

Also, quoting, replying, posting and liking is taking forever to go through.

It seems to affect the big threads rather than the smaller ones. A re-indexing of the DB may be required.

Aren't they simply server time outs?

as in its too slow for it to respond so that they register as time outs.

also there are currently 120 bots online...too many of these (and too much hopping around from them) can cause intermittent access slowdowns for users.
