Singing Section!

Its back and forth though. Atmospheres should be reactive, not arbitrary. I'd hate for us to be like Stoke, mindlessly making noise for 90 minutes. If the teams crap, they know they are by the sound (or lack thereof) from the fans and should push harder. Similarly when they turn it up a gear we respond. I think it works.

I agree mate, but for certain games we should mindlessly sing. Especially when it's teams we know are better than us the team needs to be spurred on. Not least when it's Man United!!!

If they're playing ****e against someone like Wigan then yeah you're right. But for the United's, Chelsea's and of course Liverpool's of this world then we should be singing none stop.

If we're 2-0 down and playng crap then they're a lost cause so better give them abuse or nothing than support. I'd agree with you then.

If it's 0-0, or just a goal down then it's not mindless support, we should be supporting them, but we're not, which is where a singing section comes in.

But we do. Every throw in near their end, every corner is greeted with a roar when we're pushing for a goal. I'd rather have that then "Ok lads, hymn 12 on three".

It goes to show how long overdue a 'singing section' is. Eveyones too young to know what they were like and what they were about. The phrase 'singing section' is a safe way of saying a standing area.

If the lads organising it went round saying standing area over here they'd be kicked out the ground if anyone from the club got onto it. Call it a singing section, the club would be like you and think nicey nice, but you expect the fans to be clued up on what it's all about, obviously they're not all as clued up as we should expect.

Spot on, mate!

Are fans are Crap and thats that. But when i did my thread on our fans alot of people voted for best in the world and best in the premier league no way we are, and the singing sections do work if we never did them vs Sheff U, West Brom and Chelsea the atmosphere would of been Terrible!!
