The beeb reporting that 10 minute sin bins are to be trialled next season, for dissent.

Sounds a good idea to me, and sbout time. Some premier teams might be down to 2 or 3 players if the trialled it there first.

What do you all make if it?

terrible idea.

Mainly because it will become the new 'cheating' excuse, imagine Them lot being 1 behind 10 minutes left and then the big centre half gets sent to the sin bin for dissent and they go on to win due to the hole in defence?

Imagine it's us beating them due to their centre half being in the sin bin.

I think it's a good idea, especially for dissent.

Wonder if it's as well as a yellow, or instead of?

Imagine one of their players getting sent off for a legal tackle? Or getting a soft pen against them? Or the ball taking a nice deflection?

Never happens mate!

I've got this mad idea that they should just employ competent referees. A bit left field I know but I'm a visionary and not afraid to share my crazy ideas.

I. AM. ROBO REF!!!

YOUR. MOVE. CREEP!

We were informed that the refs would book players for dissent, but that went out the window. Some referees, reffing some teams will turn a blind eye to dissent, as they do now, and not sit bin players. It will be yet another way for certain teams manu, city, arsenal, spurs, chelsea and lfc to gain an advantage. Some players are sent off for 'over the ball' tackles and some players doing the exact same tackle are only shown a yellow. The same will happen with dissent and will penalise teams unfairly. Bad idea.

Yeah, I do wonder if they ever get the refs to analyse dives and look for obvious signs. 2017 and it's amazing how many they still fall for.

I would like to see refs get interviewed after every game to go through the keys decisions they gave or missed! Why should they be allowed to have a nightmare performance and potentially control the outcome of a game (That is not about them BTW) and walk away without any questions being asked..
