Simulated Sports Action

Serious question. I’m just wondering if there is a correlation between those seeing the Niasse incident as anything other than a dive and those who are regularly fooled by the simulated action of ‘Sports Entertainment'.

Does watching simulated action make you better at spotting simulation when it occurs or does normalise it to the point you can’t tell the difference?
