Question to the older Evertonians on this board. What does it feel like winning Silverware with Everton ? I can't conceive of winning the Premier League Title with this current Everton side. I don't even know if It's going to be possible in the next 10 years. The closest feeling I remember was the FA Cup final vs Chelsea in 09. THat was an amazing run that I think started against Middlesborough in the 3rd Round.

Is it a nice sticky warm feeling inside?

Best feeling in the world, literally the best

The smirk on your kite is there for months

Last time I saw it I didn't appreciate it enough, was boss in 95 but I thought we'd win a few more things under Joe at the time.

It's a wonderful feeling.

I feel like the last of a dying breed here, actually having seen us win stuff. Like the old soldiers of WW1, of whom there are now none, one by one there'll be none of us left one day........

Nope. From memory Macclesfield away was the third round (Osman half volley) and Middlesbrough at home was the quarter final (Saha and Fellaini headers after I think Wheater had scored).

Winning at Norwich in 1987 did it for me with Mad Pat getting the goal.

Footballs so different now and we are where we are. Southampton's model gives me hope tho...I remember when they were in league 1 not so long ago...there's a lot of thought and commercial savvy gone into bringing that club through. I don't see them as a blip either.....

I started watching us just before the 84 cup win. I was programmed to expect trophies from an early age. I remember losing at Plough Lane in 87 and really struggling with the bombshell that we wouldn't be at Wembley that May.

95 was ace, though I think at the time of victory you feel a sense of relief/disbelief, even more so considering the joke amount of time we have gone without a trophy. 2 decades is scandellous for a club of our heritage and stature. I am amazed that Kenwright has held on to power for so long having continued the managed decline into obscurity. NSNO should damn well mean something!

I hear you eat on that.

Is Southampton the best of the rest now? I refuse to believe that they took that tittle from us. Where have you gone Everton?

When we won the league in 1987 after Luton at home,we were in The Winslow after the games,Sharp and Stevens both came in after the game, free champaign was going round the pub,I chatted to Bobby Robson outside and telling him that it was a joke Chris Waddle was keeping Trevor Steven out of the England side, walking back to the station we stopped at every pub The Carrisbrooke,The Tramway and the one Ronnie Whelan owned towards Kirkdale station and every single one had a party going on with free champaign,15 years old and absolutely sozzled and it didn't cost me a penny

On the pitch that day,had hold of Sharpys leg as he got carried around, they reckon 8000 blues but I think there was a few more

....I really feel for you youngsters because you truly deserve success. It's almost an arrogant feeling following a title winning side because of the winning mentality. The mid-80's success came out of the blue really so don't give up hope. Clearly money talks but t he Reds came from 7th to almost win it so it is doable.

No club has a Devine right to win it unless you come from across the park.
