If we sign Moutinho, we'll be playing 5 in the midfield for sure. With no recognised defensively-minded guys, it'll be a case of getting our mini-maestros to flood the midfield, snapping at the ankles of anyone that gets too close.

Arteta, Moutinho, Piennar, Cahill & Fernandes/Osman across the middle, constantly swapping roles and positions would be hell for anyone to play against!.

I give you Mr Neville, i will be very dissapointed in Moyes if he plans on playing him in the middle rather than RB. I find this the weak spot in Davey's armour, Neville is an awful midfielder, he lacks in all areas, yet behind Arteta at RB, its our strongest most creative side.

Just a thought isn`t Lieness supposed to be getting players in under Moyes instructions ? Now you may think I am a harbinger of doom but please bear with me. Perhaps Lieness had hoped for a quicker resolution to the Kirkby issue and this would have given Kenwright the opportunity to borrow even more money against future earnings ? This in turn would have enabled Moyes to buy players that he wanted rather than leaving it to the last minute.
Just a thought.

I think that may be one of the factors behind the hold-up with AJ aswell - if the Kirby decision is going to affect the transfer budget so majorly, we may have to sell him for funds rather than keeping him and still being able to bring in the right additions.

Or it could be that we're waiting for them to come back from their tour (or us from ours).

Or we may be trying to finalise other deals before jumping the gun and selling him without replacements ready.

Or we may be in the midst of a takeover.

Wish someone would clear the air a bit on what's going on, all I know is that we're running out of friendlies for new faces to get any match-time with the squad prior to the big kick-off - can't see anyone joining the team in the US.
