Should PL clubs be allowed to temporarily sign players from Russia/Ukraine?

It seems like one of our main rivals for relegation has tried to get Victor Moses from Russia due to the situation but the PL has blocked it on the grounds of “sporting integrity”.

That being said, the PL seems to have taken a fair amount of stick for it and other countries have allowed Ukrainian players to be signed.

If Burnley start at it then perhaps we should be looking to rescue some players and help our situation in the process.

I don’t know much about Russian or Ukrainian football but if there are any solid defenders, holding midfielders then it’s worth a look. Someone was telling me about a Thysganov or something from D Kyiv but I think we said he was a winger.

Any shouts?

Err, I mean immediately. A special dispensation has been granted to allow players to sign immediately and leave the country.

Just reading it online, you are right many leagues are allowing Ukranian and Russian transfers out of time. I had assumed there was a ban on signing Russian players as a form of sanction. Not sure the reasoning for allowing Russian transfers then.

I believe the rule would only allow foreign players playing in Ukraine to sign on a temporary basis whilst the war is ongoing. We wouldn't be able to sign any Ukrainian players.
