I'd say it was pretty simple like butane that's just me. The worst areas in England all tend to have one common factor (not all of them but a disproportionate amount).

yeah but...

which came first - the area being poor, or the people you are hinting at living there? immigrants etc often have to live in poorer areas as they have little money to start with

The centre is ace and the posh areas are nice. But areas like hackney, cricklewood, Croydon etc are all horrendous.

What do you think has contributed to that?

ive had this argument with people on here before, london is a GREAT city and i cant understand how you couldnt find part of it interesting/exciting...people being negative for the sake of it

its one of the worlds great cities

Completely agree.

Too many chavs saying "init blad, ya get me". No I don't get you, [Poor language removed].

I hate that. Loads of it about where I'm from. It's completely taken over the proper cockney accent and I absolutely hate it when mainstream shows such as eastenders fascilitate it with characters like dexter. It is not cool, not every young person speaks like that and it's not even a real accent. People bbaaaarrreee put it on.

Don't think that many people have a problem with the place itself, bar how expensive it is (especially rent). It's probably more to do with the attitude of some Londoners. Whether it being unfriendliness (infamously so) or the total indifference to anything outside of London.
