Should we prepare for life after...

I'm asking you why he's 'spoilt', then you avoid answering that and proceed to say I'm deflecting!

Yes, you were deflecting because you're ignoring the main point which is his position is biased, therefore you should take what he says with that in mind.

With reference to him being spoilt. I'd say most people that are multi millionaries at a young age and are used to having whatever they want tend to be a bit spoilt.

They're both good players and, more importantly, they're still improving. Losing one, or both would almost certainly see us struggling, in the short term, to replace them. In the longer term, the money spent by selling them, might improve us, but I'd rather we keep them.

How about the outlier of Liverpool cracking the top 4 in the season they have had a negative net spend then Dave, something they failed to do in seasons they had huge positive net spends?

How about the outlier of West Ham, or Palace, both teams struggling in the bottom half and flirting with relegation despite being considerably high up on net spend over the last 5 seasons?

Arsenal for 17 seasons- Outlier
Arsenal this season - Outlier
Liverpool this season - Outlier
Spurs last 5 years - Outlier
West Ham last 5 years - Outlier
Newcastle in relegation year - Outlier
Palace last 5 years - outlier

that's an awful lot of outliers really mate

Your also somewhat weirdly obsessed with net spend - whilst ignoring a simple fact - net spend also reflects how good the club is at moving on players they dont want - some teams - for example city - don't bother and just get rid for nothing or let contracts run out, others such as spurs get as much as they can do for every single playing asset

Overall spending - more important than net spend
Clubs wages - more important than net spend
You talk about Liverpool's net spend in one season when cumulatively over the last few seasons - as your table very nicely underlines (again) - they have a large net spend on the organisation which should have at least given them a larger first team squad of some quality to choose from. The fact they haven't is more down to poor decision making on signings over the years - and the fact they're in 3rd is down to Klopp's strength of will to make up for that abberation.

Overall: come on, are you really questioning what the vast majority of football observers hold to be true and backed up by a battery of figures that you get what you pay out for in this league? Are there exceptions to the rule? Yes. Does it destroy the orthodox analysis and conclusion on the connection between finances and league position? No.

I'd take Lukaku's word over Moshiri's. The latter has come out with some porkies, so he has previous. Didn't get rid of McCarthy because he's family. Yeah right. Almost had Sissoko when the player and agent in question were perplexed at the claim.

Can you give us a list of porkies also giving us proof that the words came from Morshiri's mouth.

"[Moussa] Sissoko is a great player. But when I bought into Everton, I made it clear I was proud to join a family," a statement from Moshiri read.

"And we don't turn our backs on our own. Keeping James McCarthy was a priority and ultimately we could not proceed with a deal that would jeopardize his place at Everton.

I agree about Moshiri.

Shame a lot of people class lying as damage limitation instead of a dishonourable thing to do.

I think the truth is more in line with what Lukaku is saying but him and Moshiri are both biased and prone to putting themselves in the best light even if it means distorting facts.

Somewhere in the middle lies the truth, I suppose...alarming even then though.

Hasn't Lukaku said differing things through various media outlets though, I believe people have even posted thing on GOT. Now whether these are legit who knows? I personally don't care as I would trust nobody who I don't know personally and even then I'm weary. Trust is earned.

...and the Moshiri quote you asked for and received....?

Davek I asked you to provide evidence which you did, I am now asking the same question of Lukaku who you state you would believe over Morshiri. I also clearly state that I believe it would be silly to trust either, in fact I would go further and state it would be foolish. My stand is I will wait on action, words for me mean nothing without the aforementioned action.
