Should things like this be acted on after the fact ?

The governing bodies have failed miserably when it comes to clamping down on cheating in the game.

I believe that diving is the number one issue that the game has failed to deal with. Yeah, sure there are other issues but none in my opinion come anywhere close to the blight on the beautiful game.

If the tackle's dangerous and a player jumps out the way then they don't have to dive. The ref should give a foul anyway for wreckless play. But mostly the 'avoiding injury excuse' is just that.
