In Aussie rules football, the clock is stopped any time the ball is out of play. They also have a 50 metre penalty (the team with the free kick get to move 50 metres closer to the goal) if there is dissent or failing to retreat straight away from a free kick.
If a team has a free kick, but one of them is being a d1ck, then the ref can award the free kick the other way.

A few things for fifa to consider

Basically the same as Rugger , then

always said this, the game should be stopped when the ball isn't in play, like rugby. It's so simple, it would stop all this rubbish with feigning injuries, time wasting and it actually means fans get the hour and a half of football they pay for. We were time wasting a fair bit tonight and only added to the amount of stoppage time, and it's sad that you can't watch a league match these days without seeing cheating and time wasting.

Fans are being cheated out of more and more game time as the years go by, i don't really see what football gains from actually endorsing it. It doesn't add to the drama.

Games would last forever if that was the case. Throw ins, goal kicks, free kicks, penalties. I don't need anymore of my life taking up by football. Certainly not 2.5 hours at a time

35 minutes each half and stop the clock when ball not in play.
Someone did a study on it years ago and the actual time the ball was in play very rarely went above 35 minutes.

This season, stoppage time did us in. Two seasons from now, we'll benefit from it. Vice versa for the RS I'm sure. I don't think there are enough reasons to "stop" it. ;)

I think we should carry on playing if there's an injury, just keep the ball away from the player and the trainer, how hard can that be? will stop players feigning injury.

it's only happened again lads...

now by injury time I also meant first half, the RS have just scored extra time first half??
'46'mins well not on my books lids this disastrous rule needs ended ASAP

so basically that match should be half time with score 0-0 ? can you not see the point or what.

As I live in Alaska, and cannot attend games anymore (:rant:) all I can say is this. The next time I go to a game, and pay the prices they now ask, I damn well expect to see a full 90 minutes. If they do a way with injury time - we would end up only watching about 78-80 minutes of football. I would not expect you all to have to pay to watch prima donna's faking injuries and rolling around the floor instead of watching a full game.

What they should do, is punish those who waste time.
