Player Valuation: £40m
Ever since I broke my tibia I've been using shin guards even when training and I finally spent a massive 15 euros to get 'high-end' ones. Was really surprised how comfortable they were compared to the normal stuff I've used.

A bit of work is needed to assemble them but then again I don't need to carry tape on me.
Anyone else fancy fancy shin guards? Am I just being a big fat girl? Will someone post a foof? Cheese on toast?

I literally can't play football without them. How people can play even 5 a side with rolled down socks is beyond me. 1. I actually think I play better with them on as I'm so used to them I feel more comfortable, but 2. most importantly the thought of someone coming in with a flat foot and breaking my shin makes me want to ****ing puke. I have to wear shin pads.

SHINNYS R FOR WOOLS

I broke my leg and dislocated my ankle a few years ago- I cant do training, 5 a side or anything without strapping my ankle and wearing some big ass shin pads, with additional ankle support.

You are just monstrous. I feel naked without them on ffs.

*retires to southern fairy land. Puts on kettle. Switches on Friends. Moisturises legs.

Seriously tho mate, im an idiot, i shud wear them with some of the idiots about who fly into tackles, but im the complete opposite of you, i play better without and hate wearing them, ther so uncomfortable

Shin pads are only necessary when playing in footy boots. They aren't needed for 5-a-side with trainers.

And I've broken my ankle.

*flexes*

I'd go with this. Crunching tackles isn't what five a side is about, wearing protection is an insult to samba de janeiro really.

Try them for a few weeks mate. Might be uncomfortable but you'll get used to them and won't feel so exposed. I can't play without them.

Play everywhere in shinnies. Lads end up with huge swollen bruises on their shins from such minor sh*t like blocking a shot and getting the follow through or taking a shot and the person blocking catching you. Not worth it to me to as I'm boney as [Poor language removed]. I always wear the one piece pad and ankle guard as the two piece one's I've had like to detach and move around.
Glad I wear them as the other week someone rattled me in the shin so hard it left the imprint of the breathable mesh from the inside on my skin for 3 days.
