Mo' Better Blues

Player Valuation: £950k
Eh, with all the polls doing the rounds of late regarding Martín-AIDS vs. Martín-Yay!s I thought I'd lash one up on something that always baffled me. I grew up in a household where both Oul' Wan and Oul' Lad were big Beatles fans and therefore spent my entire formative years with the sounds of the fab four and their solo projects (even the Ringo lad), however I don't recall Pepper being played much at all.

Moving on to my late teens and early 20's I started becoming a pompous know it all muso type reading the NME, Melody Maker, Select, Mojo etc and they always had those 100 greatest albums of all time lists, with Pepper battling it out with The Beach Boys 'Pet Sounds' for top spot, I'd be thinking how can Pepper be the greatest album ever made if it ain't even the greatest album The Beatles ever made? I'm stone 'Rubber Soul' So I'd always be curious to other peoples thoughts on it, for well over 10 years or so, if the Beatles came up in a conversation I'd ask the usual Macca or John? question and add the favourite album one too, I still haven't had a single Pepper response, seems Revolver is the most cited from those I've asked, with Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and The White Album next in popularity, anyway just curious.....

Beatles live at the Hollywood Bowl captured the manic nature of the fans and the consequential decision to stop touring.

For all of my life it's different. At the moment it's White Album. It's so different and all four of them are doing their best. Probably not as a band but more individual...
But long time ago it was Abbey Road, sometimes it was Magical Mystery Tour, Revolver or Sergant. When I was a kid I loved With The Beatles (epspecially first four songs, I could listen them again and again).
