I understand people saying it's his own fault if he's in a gang and stuff, but sometimes at 17 kids just don't know any better or have no choice. It's easy to say he should have got a job, learned morals etc. but what if he grew up with a dad that taught him that this was the only way? How many normal, functioning, nice adults were off the rails at 17? What if they'd just been shot?
Strange one this, because IMO going straight and not being a scumbag is harder than people think in some situations - not that I'm saying this is definitely one of them, though.
Terrible thing to happen regardless of circumstance.
