Player Valuation: £35m
I was thinking last night with the recent signings we have made, how good is our set pieces going to be this season.

Free kicks outside the box, we have Dinge Siggy and Bernard looking to pop one in.
Then from the side of the penalty box whipping the ball in, we have Mina, Zouma, Rico, Tosen and Gomes in the box all 6ft plus.

But then we concede a set piece and zonal marking ruins it all.

Does Digne take feee kicks?

This.
Marking space...if the man comes into you zone you mark him, sounds good in theory, until the man is on the edge of your space and on the edge of your mates space, a split seconds hesitation about whose man he is, then it's ...goooooooooooooaaaaal...'free header, where did he come from, who was marking him'
Mark the man who might score the goal, not the space he might or might not run into run into.

When was the last time that 'space' was the leading goal scorer for any team.

The excuse will be: “well he’s been dropped for Bernard so he can’t get a run of form”

Seen it already
Surely the Icelandic fanboys are fickle enough to move on to our diminutive Brazilian when he’s spraying pure sex all over the football pitch?

I just want us to start taking some decent corners again. Maybe it's the turd-tinted Everton glasses, but our corners have seemed totally powder puff compared with those from every other team in the league over the past few years.

Wasn't Richarlison the most fouled player in the premiership last season? Mina showed his aerial prowess in the WC plus he's 6ft 7 and according to Peter Crouch, Zouma's leap is so good he can touch the roof with his head! We should definitely be using all of this to our advantage.
