No, not the golfer!

Alright lads, anyone know anything more on this lad?

Was just interested and don't watch enough La Liga to know. Probably won't happen like, but its alright to speculate.

"The striker – who can also play on the wing – is available for a knock-down price because he is entering the final year of his contract and will not sign a new deal.

Garcia, 30, is a product of the famous Barcelona youth academy and has scored ten goals in 26 matches in La Liga this season. Everton scouts have watched him several times and manager Roberto Martinez has already enquired about the player’s availability.

Garcia has two caps for Spain and is best remembered for setting up their winner against Greece in the group stage of Euro 2008. He has also represented his country at all levels and had spells with Real Zaragoza and Real Betis after leaving Barcelona in 2005.

Garcia is being tracked by clubs in France and Italy but sources close to the player insist he would prefer a move to the Premier League.

Espanyol have money worries and will be forced to sell players this summer – and Everton are increasingly confident a deal can be done.

Martinez is also weighing up a move for fellow Spaniard Isaac Cuenca, who will be allowed to leave Barcelona at the season’s end.

The Toffees boss has already had success in the Spanish market, bringing in Barca youngster Gerard Deulofeu on loan."

He can come basically on the premise that he is half decent and cheap. We desperately need options up front, as long as he isnt our main signing

Cuenca is a much better option obviously. At least he has a lot of pace to make up his lack of everything else whatsoever.

Kone, Naismith, Garcia

Competing for the one spot upfront - if we got Lukaku then that would be alot of wages.

Well weird this link.

Is it just because he's Spanish!?
Papers been linking us with basically anyone who's spanish, Carles Gil @Elche that Fazio lid @Sevilla, Keylor Navas @levante, Sergio Canales and Mario Suarez back in the January window, the list goes on

as an aside, he'd be the next Kone, Martinez getting a liking for signing 30+ yr old strikers, the fumes on here would have Greenpeace trying to shut down the forum

I've always thought Garcia was decent enough but you wouldn't want to rely on him as your main source of goals.

Everton could do with moving away from their modern tradition of always bringing in eight-ten goal a season strikers.

Thing is ... Even if we get a 15-20 goal a season striker .... We will turn him into a 8-10 a season striker... We always do. We do t create enough clear cut chances lukaku scored 17 league goals for west brom last year.

Hearing about evertons transfer rumours is like being a kid at xmas and seeing your parent hide some books away to give you on xmas day, you hope they aren't your main present but you fear the worst

Rom is well on course for that number again.

He got 3 in their last game/
