Player Valuation: £15m
http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/34874-Summer-hopes

My original thread in which people thought I was either crazy or on some liquid thing that helps thing stick together. Unfortunately I don't think I was wrong at all, we need to sell to get the control of our club back. Deadwood, non-performers and even major players need to be shifted in order to generate funds.

We really need to act now while some of the players still have a value and before the bank comes in and makes us into a Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday or Portsmouth.

Here is the list from my original thread:

Out:

Heitinga £8 m.
Bilyaletdinov £6 m.
Arteta £10 m.
Fellaini £25 m.
Rodwell £25 m.
Neville £0.5 m. (he is the symbol of the Moyes era, and is no longer worth anything on the playing field, he has a role as captain and in the dressingroom, but can we really afford for him to take up a place in the starting 11 given his age and ability?)
Yakubu, Yobo and Vaughan will be gone as well, perhaps for a combined fee of £8 m.
Total income: about £80 m.

In:

James MacArthur - Wigan
James McCarthy - Wigan
James Morrisson - WBA
Graeme Dorrans - WBA
Joey Barton - Newcastle
Connor Wickham - Ipswich
Alan King - Leicester

Blood:
Duffy
Baxter
Barkley

Of course Wickham has gone to Sunderland, and maybe Rodwell will only generate around £15 m., and Yobo, Yakubu and Vaughan will probarbly only generate around £6 m. Someone like Lewis Holtby would also be good, and his fee would not be inflated by the English passport and PL experience fees that amount to 50% of some of the transfer fees going around.

But we really need to get control back to the club. Maybe with most of the debt cleared investors would also come.

I agree with this by and large. I mean, doing so will mean we're gambling against relegation, but in the long term it helps us immensely.

I 100% disagree.

I honestly think the fans are making this alot worse for Everton. The fact is, our squad is good enough for a top 10 finish, we've got a chairman who loves Everton and a manager who has proved he's fantastic on his day.

But the more people fantasize with trying to sell the whole Everton squad and the more we talk about wanting Kenright out - the longer it will leave a disgruntled feeling around Goodison - as proved with QPR, the lads didn't come out.

Plus this thread is in dreamworld, most of them players couldn't be sold even if we put them on the market for half the money.

Oh come on, at least pretend like it's a good idea, it helps the popcorning immensely if a few early posts agree with him!

I know we've only played 1 game, but most of this fear is rooted in the fact that everyone expected us to be rubbish, toothless and predictable. We were all 3.

Is this likely to change?? probably not.

I agree. It would be a massive gamble, but I would take it if there was a chance that we would get control of the club back from the bank.

Still think Villa are worse off than we are? I value your financial input on these boards, so why is our debt suddenly not manageable?

I stated back in Feburary when certain posters claimed "everton are going into administration" that there was nothing to be concerned about for at least two years.

This propagated "new mortgage" misinformation isn't actually a new mortgage. Its a loan to ensure cash is available during the summer when cashflow is at its tightest.

It replaces last years. Isn't inaddition to it.

People are putting 2+2 together and getting 42.

Your speculative transfers are just fantasy as well.
