David Moyes has a double dilemma ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby.

The Everton boss must decide whether to thrust Tim Cahill or Thomas Gravesen back into the fray after the midfield duo both recovered from injury.

Cahill and Gravesen have both been training this week but Moyes is still to decide whether or not they are ready to face Liverpool.

James Vaughan has also returned to training recently, but he is considered unlikely to feature at Goodison tomorrow.

Moyes told evertonfc.com: "Everybody is doing well. Obviously the ones of interest are Tim Cahill, Thomas Gravesen and James Vaughan.

"They are doing better, I think there is a chance they could play but I have to make the decision whether I think it is right or not.

"They have trained and they are getting closer."

Andrew Johnson is still sidelined as he recovers from ankle surgery.

Everton: Howard, Wessels, Hibbert, Yobo, Lescott, Valente, Stubbs, Neville, Jagielka, Carsley, Arteta, Osman, Cahill, Pienaar, vd Meyde, McFadden, Yakubu, Anichebe, Vaughan.
WHAT DILEMMA??? OSMAN OUT, CARSLEY OUT, NEVILLE OUT, JAGIELKA OUT... CAHILL AND GRAVEDIGGER IN!!!
Jags or Neville should fill in right back instead of hibshit

But doesnt that article state that all those players you say are out are actually in?? So in effect yeah he does have to drop people rather than pick people.

Dude that would leave us with 9 players. Two of which just coming back from injury. I wouldnt risk either of them from the start- bench role for both.

team news

No matter who starts tomorrow they had better be in good shape for a real battle. I hope DM doesn't play anyone who may not be able to give a 100% for the best part of 90 mins.especially in defence where we don't want to concede first.I do believe that he should start with Yak's experience alongside the strong running of Big Vic up front which will keep the [Poor language removed]'s defence busy to allow time for our middle 4 to get control. The Blues have to make sure that the [Poor language removed]'s full backs don't have time to raid the flanks.
